10th Anniversary Memorial of the murder of Michael Brown, Jr. in Ferguson
Grieving and grievances: remembering the brutal murder of an unarmed 18 year old Michael Brown, Jr., killed by a Ferguson, Missouri police officer and then left lying in the street for over four hours. Every year since, on August 9th, family, friends, activists, and allies gather at that spot on Canfield Drive in Ferguson to honor the memory of Michael Brown, and to rededicate the fight for racial equality, dignity and respect. Much has improved over these 10 years, but so much more has been left undone as impact bias and outright racism still pollutes all aspects of lives of minorities in America. Gatherings like this reaffirm our collective will to be better to one another...to truly love our neighbors.
