After the 2008 financial crisis, scrutiny toward the 1% wealthiest individuals and corporations became the focus of middle class Americans. Then the protests appeared to demonstrate their dissatisfaction with the income and taxation inequity of capitalism. This protest in downtown St. Louis, Missouri was one of the first to erupt in mid-America.
