All architecture – old and new, individually or in context of adjoining structures – have a degree of character and personality, and, sometimes,  a storied history. Probably because real people designed them, built them, and inhabited or worked in them. Some, I believe, are inviting and welcoming, while others can be foreboding, cold, or just stand out apart from neighboring structures.
