Covid 19 Isolation

The Pandemic Diary:

Views from my front window during Covid-19 social distancing...

While self isolating during the first 12 months (2020) of the Covid-19 (corona virus pandemic), I began to document life on my street in the Southwest Garden District of St. Louis as a way to establish patterns of community and to while away some hours.

The resulting photos, shot from my second story apartment window,  paint a picture of solitude, limited social interaction, and reduced daily activity for me and my neighbors. But, in other ways, they show that life does go on — and I am hopeful we will all get through this safe and sound. While this is normally a quiet neighborhood nestled near the Missouri Botanical Garden and Tower Grove Park, when one looks outside periodically, it suggests an also vibrant, diverse place where people just like you live.
